Not sure I would ever be doing this for a class assignment! I think this is a great way to introduce myself and show everybody a little piece of who I am. I guess I will start now...
My name is Tori Perrin. I am a current Portland State University student working on a Bachelor of Science in Management and Bachelor of Science in Human Resources. My expected graduation date is June 2009.
Currently I work at Applebees as a server and at Legacy Emanuel Hospital as an office assistant to a trauma nurse. Both jobs have provided me with a lot of knowledge and skills that I believe are useful and I will use throughout my life. I enjoy working with people, and I do a lot of it at both jobs.
I also love animals and I volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society to help stray and unwanted animals find forever homes. I find it very worthwhile to do good for those who cannot help themselves. Along with my line of work at the hospital, I also volunteer at helmet fairs throughout the year. We fit helmets on kids and adults to make sure that they are properly fitted, since usually around 85% of the bike riders out there are wearing an improperly fitted helmet and is a leading cause of brain injury that can easily have been prevented.
